Concrete Foreman (Flatwork & Foundations) — Full Time

Location: Waverly, IA (projects within ~1 hour) | Home every night

Position Overview

SCI Concrete & Excavating is hiring an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a crew on flatwork and foundation projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality work, strong communication, and keeping a jobsite running smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a concrete crew on flatwork and foundation projects

  • Plan daily work, coordinate materials/equipment, and keep production on track

  • Ensure quality workmanship, accuracy, and jobsite safety

  • Communicate with project managers and other trades to solve problems quickly

  • Read and interpret drawings/plans for layout and execution

  • Utilize and/or support layout/grade work using GPS and/or Total Station

  • Train and mentor team members; hold crew accountable to standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of concrete work experience (flat work and foundations)

  • Strong leadership and ability to manage employees

  • Proven ability to manage a crew and keep work organized

  • Solid communication skills

  • Ability to read drawings/plans

  • Experience with GPS and/or Total Station

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical jobsite work
